VPN for Gemini: check conversations and file uploads

Choose a simple question that contains no personal or work information. Keep the same device, account and network for the first comparison. An existing conversation appearing on screen is not enough: request a new response and wait for it to finish before judging the connection.

On a supported phone, compare the Gemini website with the official app when available. On a computer, connect BratVPN on that computer before opening the browser. If one version works, note which one: that gives you a useful starting point without repeatedly signing out of your Google account.

Once text responses work, try one small supported sample file that you are allowed to share. Check whether the problem occurs while selecting it, uploading it or asking about its contents. Those are different steps; a completed upload does not prove that the requested analysis has finished.

Gemini documents separate upload limits and account requirements. For work or school accounts, some connections to Google Drive depend on administrator settings. Read the exact message rather than repeatedly uploading the same document. A different network route does not provide extra storage, a larger file allowance or access to a document you cannot open.

Some Gemini features can be used without sign-in, while other features require an eligible Google account. Work and school access can depend on the organization. Follow Google's current requirements for your account and location; seeing the sign-in page is not confirmation that every feature is available.

Before clearing browser data, save unfinished text and confirm how you normally sign in. Start with reopening the affected tab and updating the official app or browser. If a managed account displays an administrator message, ask the administrator about that message instead of changing several device settings at once.

A slow response may depend on the request itself, service load or the connection. Compare a short text question with your normal task before blaming one cause. If an answer stops midway, check the existing conversation before submitting it again, especially if a previous request could still be processing.
