A page loading is only the first check for YouTube. Connect BratVPN on the phone or computer playing the video, then compare the same clip at the same quality. An email trial lets you test your network before paying; resolution and playback still depend on the connection, device and video itself.
Download, verify your email, then activate
Start on the device you will actually use. Download the free BratVPN app from the downloads page, then use the email form on this page to request a trial. You can keep these instructions open in a browser throughout setup.
- 1Install BratVPN for iOS, Android, Windows or macOS from the official download link.
- 2Verify your email with the code from the latest BratVPN message. Save the separate VPN activation code shown on this page.
- 3Enter the VPN code in BratVPN, accept the system VPN permission and connect. The 24-hour trial starts at app activation; its allowance is 10 GB.
- 4Open the service and run the checks below before choosing paid access. Telegram is optional; email and website checkout work independently.
Run a useful playback comparison
Choose a normal video you can already identify and note the quality setting. Keep the device and network the same while comparing playback before and after connecting. Watch beyond the first frame, then seek forward: a thumbnail or a short cached segment says little about continuous streaming.
- 1Connect BratVPN, reopen YouTube and play the selected video.
- 2Check whether playback starts, continues and resumes after seeking.
- 3Repeat at one lower quality if it pauses, then compare Wi-Fi and mobile data separately.
If videos buffer or quality keeps changing
YouTube adjusts playback quality to viewing conditions. A higher resolution needs more data, and a VPN cannot create bandwidth that your Wi-Fi or mobile link does not have. Compare the same selected resolution rather than judging two different Auto settings.
If the whole connection is slow, pause other large downloads and move closer to the Wi-Fi access point. If only one video fails, try another title. A playback error, a missing purchase and a connection timeout need different fixes; note which message you actually see.
App, browser and television are different tests
On iPhone and Android, compare the official YouTube app with its website in the phone browser. Update the affected app or browser and reopen it after connecting. A working browser test helps narrow the problem, but does not prove that the app's existing session is healthy.
On Windows or Mac, connect BratVPN on the computer running the browser. If the video plays on a television, test the television's own connection. Casting behavior depends on the devices involved; turning on a phone VPN does not establish that the TV uses it. Start with a supported phone or computer if you need a clear comparison.
What a VPN does not include
BratVPN provides a network connection, not YouTube Premium or a video purchase. Account permissions, age requirements and a creator's title availability are controlled by YouTube. A different route cannot promise every title or a particular resolution.
Use the trial to judge playback where you actually watch. Keep the video, quality, network and result in a short note for support. There is no universal server choice or guaranteed speed that replaces this check.
Connect the device running the service
On iPhone or iPad, install through App Store and allow the VPN configuration when iOS asks. On Android, use Google Play or the official Android download when offered on the downloads page. Enter your activation code in BratVPN, not in the other app's login field.
For Windows and macOS, use the official installer on the downloads page and connect on that computer. A VPN connection on your phone does not automatically protect a separate laptop, television or other device. Keep only the VPN profile you intend to test connected.
Keep the connection that works for you
After testing, open the purchase page to compare current plans and payment options. Save the activation code after payment is confirmed and follow the app instructions. You can also use the existing app or Telegram purchase options when convenient.
If a test fails, tell support the app version, device platform, approximate time, network type and the step that failed. Do not include passwords, email verification codes, VPN activation codes or private messages in a public report. BratVPN is independent of the services named here.
Frequently asked questions
Will a VPN guarantee 4K playback?
No. Resolution depends on available bandwidth, the video, the player and your device. Test the same quality on your own connection before buying.
Why does YouTube work in a browser but not the app?
The app can have a different session, cache or version. Reopen and update it, then compare on the same connected device and network.
