For Minecraft multiplayer, first check your edition, version and the world you want to join. Connect BratVPN on the device running the game and compare one known server or Realm during the email trial. A working launcher or single-player world does not prove an online connection. Account permissions, game ownership and the host's settings remain separate requirements.
Download, verify your email, then activate
Start on the device you will actually use. Download the free BratVPN app from the downloads page, then use the email form on this page to request a trial. You can keep these instructions open in a browser throughout setup.
- 1Install BratVPN for iOS, Android, Windows or macOS from the official download link.
- 2Verify your email with the code from the latest BratVPN message. Save the separate VPN activation code shown on this page.
- 3Enter the VPN code in BratVPN, accept the system VPN permission and connect. The 24-hour trial starts at app activation; its allowance is 10 GB.
- 4Open the service and run the checks below before choosing paid access. Telegram is optional; email and website checkout work independently.
Identify the world and edition
Write down whether you are using Java Edition or Bedrock Edition and the installed release. Ask the host which edition and version their world supports. An address copied correctly is only part of the setup; an incompatible game version or a closed world needs a different fix from a network timeout.
Keep the world, account and device the same for your first comparison. Loading the launcher or opening a local single-player world checks other parts of the game, so continue to the actual multiplayer destination. Start with a server, Realm or friend's world that you already have permission to use.
- 1Check your Minecraft edition, version and the host's joining instructions.
- 2Connect BratVPN on the gaming device, then join the same known world.
- 3Note whether the failure is sign-in, locating the world or staying connected after joining.
Check the host and multiplayer permissions
Minecraft's help recommends checking game updates, multiplayer permissions and whether the host or service is available. For a friend's hosted world, confirm that the friend has opened it for play. For Realms or another online service, follow its own status and joining guidance instead of repeatedly changing local settings.
Read messages about multiplayer being disabled or an account needing permission. Ask the parent, guardian or account administrator to review the relevant setting when appropriate. A VPN does not provide account permission, game ownership or a console's required online membership. Keep those checks separate from the connection you are testing.
Compare a connection after the world loads
Once you join, observe ordinary movement and interactions for a short session. A world loading slowly, delayed actions and a low frame rate describe different problems. Keep the destination and similar game conditions for the comparison; a simple local world is not a substitute for testing the remote world you actually play on.
Pause other large downloads and compare Wi-Fi with another ordinary connection or a wired connection on a suitable computer. A changed route may add delay rather than reduce it. Do not expose a home server or change router security just to evaluate a VPN trial; ask the host about their supported joining method.
Protect worlds, accounts and supported devices
Before reinstalling the game, clearing app data or changing local world files, use Minecraft's official backup guidance for your edition. Keep a separate copy of important worlds and make sure you can sign in again. A connectivity check should begin with reopening, version checks and network comparison, not erasing local progress.
BratVPN supports its listed phone and computer platforms; it does not supply a native game-console VPN app. Connect the supported device that runs your game. A phone VPN does not automatically connect a console. BratVPN also does not include Minecraft, Realms or marketplace purchases; account and game billing questions belong with the relevant official support.
Connect the device running the service
On iPhone or iPad, install through App Store and allow the VPN configuration when iOS asks. On Android, use Google Play or the official Android download when offered on the downloads page. Enter your activation code in BratVPN, not in the other app's login field.
For Windows and macOS, use the official installer on the downloads page and connect on that computer. A VPN connection on your phone does not automatically protect a separate laptop, television or other device. Keep only the VPN profile you intend to test connected.
Keep the connection that works for you
After testing, open the purchase page to compare current plans and payment options. Save the activation code after payment is confirmed and follow the app instructions. You can also use the existing app or Telegram purchase options when convenient.
If a test fails, tell support the app version, device platform, approximate time, network type and the step that failed. Do not include passwords, email verification codes, VPN activation codes or private messages in a public report. BratVPN is independent of the services named here.
Frequently asked questions
Does a working single-player world prove multiplayer will work?
No. Compare the actual server, Realm or friend's world, including edition, version, permissions and the host's availability.
Should I delete my worlds to fix a connection?
Start with reopening, version and account checks, and a network comparison. Back up important worlds before any step that changes or removes game data.
